Windy weather, Valentine’s Day parties and more

By Margie Ward

Beginning the news column today the weather is threatening. Nothing has reached us yet but the weathermen say we could get something from all these warnings and/or high winds later. We pray we will get the rain, which we need so much and everyone will be free from tornadoes and all that goes with them. We will trust God to take care of us, whatever happens.
Another thing that concerns us is so many people are sick; doctor offices are full, hospital are having problems making room for everybody; everywhere we go we see and hear of people that need help concerning themselves or family members. Usually when it starts in a family it goes all the way through everybody has a turn. I’ve been blessed so far I’ve been well and I thank God for that. We really need to pray for all the sick people and for the doctors they have a lot of them trying to know what everybody needs to get them well.
On Sunday morning the attendance was good even though we had several out because of sickness, we hope they will be able to come next week. We welcome the visitors we had today and pray they received a blessing by coming and will come back again soon. The call to worship “Fresh Anointing,” by the choir; special music “Go light your world,” by Denny Pickett. Bro. Ron’s message, “Spiritual warfare as it relates to Satan,” Eph. 6: 10-12 and other scriptures. In the heart of a child of God there is no room for the devil, he has no right to our soul, the devil can’t get to Jesus, so he goes after the next best thing, the church; he loves to attack the church, the church needs to set their minds on heavenly places. God said He would make a way and equip us to be victorious, bless us with all we need. We should let others know we’re children of God, Jesus is our defense and through His word we have knowledge of this. We are more like Jesus when we forgive; God wants the church to be free of Satan’s tactics and/or methods.
On Sunday night at 6 p.m. a good attendance present with visitors. Anthony Cottrell, Youth Minister, and the youth were in charge of the evening service; the subject was Creationism VS. Evolutionism.

“Whose Job is it?”
This is a story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody and Nobody
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure Somebody would do it. Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it. Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody’s job. Everybody though Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn’t do it. It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.
These four “people” live at my house; do they live at yours too?
