I am enjoying the warm weather lately. The rain has been good.
John and Gail Wade visited family at Savannah this week.
We can look out across the hill from our house and see the Circle J Arena. I’ve never been there. They are on Reid’s Ferry Road. We are on Parks Mill Road but the arena is just across the field from us. I had no idea what was going on from Friday night until Sunday night but I knew that it seemed to be a good crowd there. I could see the horse owner’s trailers over there. I looked in the phone book to see if there was a listing. I did not know the owner’s name. On Monday I called the Chamber of Commerce to see if they had a listing. They did but got no answer to the call. I learned that the event was a Four Pack Buckle Series. Since I know absolutely nothing about rodeos I can’t tell you what it is. You people that know horses probably could tell us all about it. I was told that this same event would be held again on March 8. So if there are any that are interested get in touch with the owners.
A belated happy birthday to Gladys Walker. I’ve known her since she was a child.
John and Gail Wade went to Athens to help her sister Betsy celebrate her birthday. Happy birthday Betsy!
Friends from the Lake Oconee Baptist Chapel went o the home of Bill and Ann Gwanthney for a Super Bowl get-together on Sunday night after church
The Buckhead Baptist Church is planning a Valentine Banquet. Details will be soon.

When I was in town last week I introduced myself to the Rev. Tom Duff. I recognized him but he didn’t know me. He said that his knee that was replaced was doing well. He plans to have the other knee done later. They only replace one at a time now. In November 2000 my husband had both of his done.
Our hearts are saddened greatly when members of our household, human or animal, are sick. Many of us have pets that we have loved for a long time. Whatever our stance in life, our only help is in the Lord. He is our strength.
I am enjoying the warm weather lately. The rain has been good. Several nights ago we had one and three-fourth inches of rain.
Watch for the notices of Valentine banquets at churches here. I only had mention of one at the Buckhead Baptist Church. No date is set.
