The JV Lady Dogs dropped two contests over the weekend, falling to North Oconee Friday in Madison 36-26 and to Putnam Saturday 39-20.
"The games were almost identical with our problems," said JV Dogs Head Coach Joshua Reeves. "We missed easy, makable shots and we missed our free throws."
Their were some bright spots, however.
"Our defense was solid inside," Reeves said. "We forced both North Oconee and Putnam to hit long jumpers."
Unfortunately for the team, both opponents were able to hit their share of long jump shots.
"Our girls never gave up," Reeves said. "They played hard until the end of each game. Briana Belser did a good job running the team all year and especially during these two games."
Patrice Boswell led the team with 10 points in the loss to North Oconee. Against Putnam, the team was led by Franchonette Taylor who scored eight.
The team is scheduled to play Friday when they host Oglethorpe in what will likely be the final basketball games at the current gym facility.
