William Herbert Shelton, 86, of Madison, died March 2, 2013. He was born August 1, 1926 to the late Bertha Harper Shelton and the late Herbert Ashley Shelton. He was preceded in death by his son, the late William Terrell Shelton.
Surviving are: wife, Dartha Shelton of Madison; daughter and fiancé, Cathy Shelton and Tommy Keesee of Social Circle; son, David Shelton of Bostwick; sisters, Marie Morrison of Diamond Hill; Marjorie Williams of Watkinsville, Emma Dye of Watkinsville; brother, Douglas Shelton of Bostwick; seven grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 5 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home with the Rev. Gloria Farmer officiating. Interment followed at Almond Cemetery.
