God blesses at the sportsman’s night out!

We at Centennial Baptist and Hope Church would like to thank the Madison Recreation Department and Lance Alexander for allowing us to use their soccer field for our Sportsman’s Night Out event.
We had prayed God would hold off the rain until the event was over and as we kept looking at our GPS systems it became very evident that all the rain was going to the north and south of us. Thank you God!
We also would like to thank all the vendors who supported the event; John Deere, 30-30 Ministries, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Reel Time, Magnolia Defense, First Baptist Church of Covington Men's Ministry, C'mere Deer, TNT Stone Company, Lowrace Electronics and Tyco Signs.
Amanda Crowe, owner of Catering By Amanda, and her volunteers served up a tremendous BBQ plate with all the fixins, and served over 800 people in less than 10 minutes! That was amazing to see.
Jimmy Houston spoke to us about his years of fishing and a lot of funny things he has been through. But the real message he shared was how God had saved him as a 12 year old boy, how God has so blessed him over the years, and how we should be looking for God’s blessing.
Yes, it was great having all those people from our community and surrounding communities gathered together. It was great to have such a great meal. It was a blessing to have Houston. It was exciting to give away all the door prizes. Yet nothing was as amazing as the presence of God, as the Gospel of Jesus Christ was given. The Gospel has lost none of its power! Many people indicated that they repented of their sins, believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, and by faith accepted Him as their Savior. That is what it is all about!
We invite you to join us anytime at Centennial Baptist Church. Sunday school starts at 9:15am, morning worship starts at 10:30am and evening worship at 6:30pm. God cares… and so do WE!
