Reach Outlet in Covington, a good place to haunt

Seems the weather is the hot topic lately. After a dreary rainy week Sunday was a beautiful day, especially if you chose to spend it with us.   Our song service was a bit stronger and sounded so good. Thanks to all the visitors and those returning for more feeding. We pray you receive strong blessings being in the Lord's
house with us.

The choir special was  "Last Mile of the Way",  with specials also by our talented members. Butch brought his message from Psalm 51: 1-19,  talking to us about David's prayer and a broken and contrite spirit. Contrite spirit means a crushed, bitterly bruised spirit. Read this complete chapter in Psalm. Let it speak to you.
On Sunday night Gene McCullough brought a message on love from John 3:16.

I'm writing with a heavy heart this morning. We received the news yesterday that my Aunt Frances Moon Peters passed away. This hit me hard as she was the last link in Mama's family and would have been 91 years young in April. I send my deepest love and sympathy to my whole family in her passing. She will be missed so much. Now I can honestly say that  I am of the older generation in my family. Services are pending at this time due to all her family getting here.
Hey, gotta share with you. I am Facebook friends with so many in the area that like to haunt the Goodwill and thrift stores and I do too. Wayne and JoAnn told us about this place at Covington and we went there last week. It's called  "Reach Outlet". You'll find it on Highway 278 next to the Krystal Restaurant. Sue met us and made us feel so welcome, telling us all about the ministry and sponsor of this store.  It is sponsored by the Central Community Church in Covington. If you visit Sue or Tina will probably welcome you, and please tell them that you read about it here in my article. Nice folks and a very clean place and good prices too.   I'm a book lover and  I found several that I'll enjoy.
This coming Saturday night The Sonrise Trio will be at the Wildwest Music Hall in Monroe at 7 p.m. I checked and this is a non-alcoholic venue. On March 9 Jennifer West and Crystal Clear will be there.

We will have our Spring Festival on March 23, 1 p.m. until 3 p.m.
We are continuing our studies on Christian Ethics on Wednesday nights at 7 p.m. Oh, and Daylight Saving time begins this month also so turn your clock ahead an hour on Saturday night the 9 before you go to bed. I pray Spring is coming soon.
How I do appreciate my family. Gayle and Jimmy came Friday night,  puttied, etc, whatever, preparing my kitchen wall for a new coat of paint which Jimmy did on Saturday. Thank you to my family for what you do for us.

Happy birthday to Steve Smith and Mattie Stewart on March 5th. Many blessed wishes for my  granddaughter, Amber Holmes on March 1st  and  to my newest great granddaughter, Ariel Jordan Holmes who will turn 2 years on the 6th.
I take this message from the February issue of Guideposts:   "I feel the incredible sense of connection that comes when people share their lives with one another.  To me, it's God using us to spread His love".

Always remember our sick and bereaved when you pray,  especially pray for Butch and his family. It was good to see Charles Johnson who was able to be with us for two weeks. So many others. Pray for those.
So until next week, may the Lord bless you real good.
