Members of the Buckhead City Council discussed their annual Old Buckhead Days event during their recent meeting.
City Clerk Cheryl Saffold said that while nothing has been finalized, their goal is to hold the event on the first Saturday in April.
This year they plan on holding a 5K road race with an 8:30 a.m. start time. The runners will start in Buckhead and go down Baldwin Dairy Road, turn around and head back to Buckhead.
Those interested in participating in the race may go to active.com or request a form from either Saffold or Council Member Robin Bone.
Around 10:30 a.m. the parade should start, she said.
Saffold stressed that these plans are tentative but added that they also hope to have local musical talent performing.
Children’s events include face painting and skating at the local rink, which Saffold said plans to be open.
