Momma’s got a serious case of Hollywood-itis! She’s flat feverishly moon-struck by all the ding dang MOVIE STARS sashayin’ all ‘round town! Honey, those Movie Stars are pert near like real live people! I’m talkin’ they shop and eat out in restaurants just like US! Well I’ll be! Ok so here’s the deal! I heard it from a little bitty baby bird over at The Madison Flea Market that beautiful Movie Star Maria Bello went over there and shopped for some perf items for her kitchen! Yes! Ok so then I heard she was spotted at Barkin’ Dogs Shoe Co. and then over at Town 220 restaurant! Oh and she very well could be stayin’ (but I ain’t sayin’) at the beautiful James Madison Inn! What the what! But, that ain’t all y’all! Maria Bello is workin’ on a right scary movie with handsome wolverine-ish Hugh Jackman and crazy cutie Jake Gyllenhaal! It’s called Prisoners and they’re shootin’ the show over in Conyers ‘cause Conyers is like scary! Ah Conyers . . . you know I’m joshin’, right? Anyhow we’re right pleased as punch all y’all movie stars are hangin’ out in Morgan County! And, now that you’ve been written up in the Biz Buzz you are OFFICIALLY FAMOUS! Congratulations Famous Movie Stars! I just hope I spelled your names right or one of them mean Hollywood publicists will slap me into next week!
Right so move over Movie Stars! Morgan County Chefs are flat gonna STEAL the SHOW! Hey! Maybe those movie stars will show up! And better yet maybe one of them movie star scouts will discover Momma and we’ll get RICH, RICH, RICH I tell ya! But I digress. Momma’s as happy as butter on a Sunday biscuit! So anyhow, y’all get your tickets for $30 in advance or $35 at the door. Oh and the ticket price includes two cocktail tickets! Double Yes! But, I have to tell y’all Momma was cryin’ like a baby ‘cause the Chamber ain’t gonna let Momma serve up her homemade White Lightnin’ at the Chef Showcase ‘cause Momma ain’t no chef! Don’t that beat all? Well no matter! Y’all get your tickets by callin’ 706-342-4454 and I’ll see you there!
Hey and speakin’ of chefs, honey I just caught up with Kenny Pritchett and y’all he is almost ready to open Morgan County’s newest restaurant on Main Street in downtown Madison! I just can’t wait! Anyhow y’all, Kenny and his wife Linda have decided to call the restaurant KP’s Main Street Grill & Oyster Bar! I love it! And, just wait til you see the fantastic mural Matt Laseter painted on the wall inside the restaurant! Ok so it’s a mural featurin’ Hank Williams Sr. (Kenny had to tell me who it was on account I’m soooo young). Anyway ole Hank is just a strummin’ on his guitar, which means honey this place is gonna feature LIVE MUSIC! I love it! Kenny’s done built a stage area and everything! Ok so here’s the scoop: KP’s Main Street Grill & Oyster Bar is gonna open maybe as soon as next week and it’s gonna serve up a simple delish menu of burgers, salads, steaks, oysters, shrimp and more! Kenny says he’s gonna open up for brunch and lunch only at first and will add dinner later! Y’all keep watchin’ this column for more intel!
