Shirley Jean Gilbert of Newborn announces the engagement and upcoming marriage of her daughter, Susan Gwen Gilbert of Madison to Ricky Lamar Perry of Madison, the son of the late Frank and Rebecca Perry of Madison. The bride-elect is the daughter of the late Sonny Gilbert.
Miss Gilbert is a 1981 graduate of Morgan County High School. She is employed with David A. and Carol Ann Hilsman Dairy.
Mr. Perry is a 1981 graduate of Morgan County High School. He served in the United States Navy from 1981-1989. He attended Columbus State University. He is currently employed by the Georgia Department of Corrections.
A February wedding is planned. The couple will reside in Madison.
