That ancient calendar created by the world’s first geeks (AKA Mayans) is flat comin’ to an end on Friday, Dec. 21! What the? EVERYBODY! NOW HEAR THIS! GET YOUR HANDSOME HUSBAND’S CREDIT CARD! That’s right! ‘Cause we’re gonna shop local and dine local like there ain’t no tomorrow! That’s cause there’s only one tomorrow left since FRIDAY IS THE END OF THE WORLD! Well one thing is flat certain: I’m gonna look real good in come brand spankin’ new clothes and some new boots on the world’s last day! Yes!

Hey! And, there’s no better way to make an exit than to go out with a party! I’m talkin’ all ‘bout The Winter Solstice Party at The Caboose in downtown Rutledge! OK so here’s the deal! Molly and Ed are gonna cook up a FEAST to end all FEASTS! It’ll be a fab, fab breakfast buffet from 9 until 11 a.m.! It’s only $7.50 per person and the kids WILL LOVE IT! That’s ‘cause Old Man Winter, his crazy cold sidekick Jack Frost along with the queen Mother Nature will all be there! Now listen y’all . . . I’m not certain ‘bout the weather forecast but there’s a chance of SNOW INSIDE THE CABOOSE! Oh and this is a way popular event so call for reservations although I’m sure you’ll find a spot if you try! See you all there!

Oh and Yoga instructor extraordinaire Eva Young is hostin’ A Winter Solstice Celebration Candlelight Yoga session on the evening of Dec. 21, from  7 p.m. until 8 p.m. at her Young Yoga Studio located in The Co-Op On East Main in downtown Rutledge! Om Shanti y’all!

OK this next one deserves a new age song! But first put on your flowin’ gown or cape and hit it: When the moon is in the seventh house and Jupiter aligns with Mars, then peace will guide the planet and lovvvve will steer the starts! This is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius! Age of Aquarius! Aquarius! Yes! This ain’t no end of the world! It’s the beginnin’ of the good times! I’m talkin’ peace, love and understandin’! Which is flat perf for this new business openin’ up in Madison! I’m talkin’ all ‘bout Mind Crafting Institute and its MC Yoga and Education Studio that’s gonna open in January at 202 West Washington Street, in downtown Madison across from Town Park and next to Town & Country! I cannot wait! OK so here’s the deal! Jennifer Hendrix has gathered together as many instructors as she could find and is opening Mind Crafting Institute with yoga, writing, meditation and even zumba classes with more to come! So far yoga will be offered seven days a week with morning, afternoon and evening classes on weekdays as well as art and stretching and strength classes! Instructors so far are: Allison “Allie” Bourgeois for Vinyasa Yoga, Gentle Yoga, Hot Yoga, Yin Yoga, Immunity Boosting Yoga, Kids Gentle Yoga and Therapeutic Yoga; Mara Davis AKA Prema with Beginners Hatha Yoga and Hatha Yoga; Angelina Bellebouno for Awakening into the Wonder of You combining writing and art; Victoria Faust for Vinyasa Yoga;  Elise Faust with Slowing Down With Yoga and Meditation and Eva Young for Yoga for Every Body! Oh and Jamie Williams is gonna teach a stretching and strength training class for runners and athletes! The great news is that Jennifer says she’s gonna be addin’ classes like Zumba and more! Right so you’ll be able to have unlimited access to yoga and all of the classes for only $100 a month or $125 without auto renewal. Or you can just pay $15 for a drop in fee!
