The Morgan County Recreation Departments’ 11-12 Boys football team recently competed in the Georgia Parks and Recreations Midget Boys Football Tournament, where they placed second.
Morgan County’s team was an all-star team comprised of the best players from the Recreation Departments’ regular season teams.
Coaches Jim Ferguson, Matt Walker, and Cedrick Huff led the boys on to victories against Butts County and Putnam County. Their only loss was to Walton County, who placed first in the tournament.
According to JD Doss, Athletic Director at the Recreation Department, this was the first time that a Morgan County team has won two games in this tournament.
Doss would like to thank the coaches, parents, and athletes for their participation and commitment.
