The Humane Society of Morgan County will host its annual Bow Wow Breakfast from 7:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, in the back room of the Morgan County Citizen.
Plates are $10 in advance and $12 at the door and may be purchased at the society or from a society volunteer.
Waffle House will cater the event. Plates will include a waffle, eggs, bacon or sausage, juice or coffee.
Proceeds will benefit the society’s Sick and Injured Animal Fund, which allows them to rescue adoptable animals with medical issues requiring treatment. Examples include heartworm positive dogs, and animals that have had to have an eye or limb removed.
“We are trying to bring awareness of this event to make it bigger than ever so we can help more animals and families that needed someone to brighten their lives,” shared Belinda Bell, Director of the Humane Society of Morgan County.
Bell said these are great animals that do not need to die because of something minor.
“We go to animal control centers and bring adoptable animals back,” she said, adding that they provide basic veterinary care such as vaccinations, spaying/neutering services, de-worming, and micro-chipping.
