Biz Buzz Scene: It’s a breezy, dark starry October night. Momma and Biz Buzz are lost in PawPaw’s big red pickup truck on a rural dirt road deep in South Georgia where the mysteries of Halloween roam with abandon.
Momma! I oughtta slap you naked! You’ve done done it now! We’re flat lost in space! Whoa! Slow down! Who’s that walkin’ up ahead in a ding dang dark suit and fancy dance cane! It’s Sir Alfred Hitchcock and I reckon he needs a ride! Alfred! Get in and we’ll give you a lift! “Good Evening Ladies. I think I will.” Where to? “I am the master of suspense so I will not proffer further information.” Shasta! “Please do not cuss. It makes me psycho.” Look Momma! There’s a motel up ahead! The Bates Motel! Looks like the perf place to get a good night’s sleep and a nice refreshin’ shower! Boy Howdy! Alfred we’re stoppin’ for the night. “I emphatically agree.”  Momma you and Alfred go check in and I’ll wait here with the bags! Whaatt? Momma’s runnin’ out of The Bates Motel like a bat outta hell! Momma! Why in the Sam Hill are you startin’ up PawPaw’s pickup! Oh. My. Gosh! What do you mean the innkeeper keeps a mummy momma in the back room! Shoot fire! Let’s split this scary scene!
Whew! It sure is good to be home in Morgan County! And, just in time too ‘cause y’all a brand spankin’ new shop is openin’ next Wednesday Oct. 24! OK so this fantastic new shop is called Teal Couture and it’s owned by Madisonians Christy Friesen and Beth Cathey! As y’all know, Beth is also the owner of Petals Salon. OK so here’s the deal! Teal Couture is located at 203 West Jefferson Street in downtown Madison across from Town Park and it’s located where Petals Salon used to be! But don’t worry y’all! Petals Salon moved to the back part of the building! And, you’ll be able to walk straight through the Teal Couture to get to Petals Salon! Right so anyhow y’all Christy says this new shop will focus on fashionable, trendy and affordable dresses, tops, jewelry and more! And affordable is right y’all ‘cause right now everything in the shop is under $50! Wow! I love, love, love it! And, just in time for Christmas too! Oh and you can get a sneak peek at the fashions by liking Teal Courture’s Facebook page! I’ll see all y’all there next week!
Happy, happy birthday Barkin’ Dogs Shoe Co.! Ding dang it I missed the celebration last week! Y’all head over to Barkin’ Dogs Shoe Co. located at 172 South Main Street in downtown Madison and check out the new boots and fall shoe fashions! Right so as soon as I lose another four pounds, I’m gonna reward myself with a pair of those beautiful Born boots! Gotta have ‘em this fall y’all! Plus there are lots of fantastic new fall fashions and great shoes on sell too! Get over there!
Hey! I just popped over to Whidby Jewelers located at 177 West Jefferson Street in downtown Madison to check what’s goin’ down! Owner Ben Whidby says his new leather and pearls collection is gonna be popular this holiday season! Love, love, love these leather and pearl bracelets and necklaces! They come in both black and brown leather, plus they are very affordable startin’ at $39! OK so I love the bracelet with the single pearl but I REALLY LOVE the black leather bracelet with lots and lots of pearls! Gotta have it for Christmas (hint, hint)! Y’all get over there and check it all out! Oh and don’t forget the new CoLore SG line from my fave Lorenzo Collection! They are BEAUTIFUL with colorful stones in sterling and gold rings, necklaces, bracelets and earrings! Yes! Plus Ben says lots and lots of new jewelry is comin’ in daily! Love it!
Hey and right next door y’all check out JK Linens located at 183 West Jefferson Street in Madison and their brand new pillow collection They are awesome and are sellin’ like hotcakes! Oh and they got in some brand new quilts too! Beautiful! Go get you some prizes!
Oh and I pert near forgot! Esther Curry wanted me to tell all y’all to mark your calendars for the Godfrey Community Park Annual Barbecue slated for Saturday, Nov. 10 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.! Honey this is gonna be a “Whole Pig” barbecue just how Momma likes it with Brunswick Stew and dessert. Tickets are $9 and a child’s plate for kids under 10 are $5. All proceeds will benefit Godfrey Community Park. Y’all call Esther for tickets at 706-474-5963.
