The Morgan County Recreation Department invites local residents to take part in its first-even Cornhole League.
Cornhole is the backyard, tailgate-type game where players attempt to toss beanbags into a hole at the end of a slick, slanted, wooden board.
Matches will be played on Monday nights at the Rec Gym. The cost is $30 to enter, and there's an Oct. 5 deadline to register.
Contact Jay Doss at 706-342-0588 or jdoss@morganga.org for more information on this league.
The Rec Dept. is also starting a Saturday morning karate class for children ages nine years and older. Bobby Bailey is the instructor, and classes start Oct. 6.
On the fifth Saturday, if applicable, a black belt workshop will be held.
Karate classes will be held every Saturday, 10-11:30 a.m. The fee is $40 per month per participant.
For more information on karate classes, contact Chris Sides at 706-342-0588.

Printed in the October 4th edition.
