OK so here’s the deal–Two categories: Traditional and Nontraditional (with meats and/or veggies)! Just bring your favorite made-from-scratch recipe to the cook-off and get ready to take home a prize! Winners for both categories get $25! Hey and y’all sign up for a Chili Cook-off team! It’s soooo much fun! The Hot Off The Presses Team wants to beat the cornbread off your chili!
News to Cure the Blues! Teal Couture is happenin’ y’all! OK so this is a new soon-to-open shop focusin’ on gorgeous moderately priced women’s fashions! It’s gonna be located in the same location that Petals Salon is located in at 203 W. Jefferson Street, in downtown Madison across from Town Park! Petals is movin’ to a space in the back and Teal Couture is gonna be in the front space! Perf! Momma loves fashion and so does Sassy Sista! Calling all runners, joggers, fast walkers, moms with strollers! The Friends of Madison Firefighters is hostin’ its Annual Firefighter’ Fall 5K and 10.2K Saturday, Oct. 13! This year it’s really gonna be super special ‘cause all proceeds from the event will benefit the William B. Cochran, Jr. Vocational Scholarship and will also be used to promote fire safety! In case you didn’t know, Bill Cochran served 30 years with the Madison Fire Department and he consistently supported his community. The Madison Firefighters want to honor his legacy of spirit and devotion through this scholarship! So honey, if you’ve ever needed inspiration to run, walk or jog in a race, THIS IS IT! Ommmm. Ommmm. Calm down. Yoga master and local chiropractor Elise Faust is now offerin’ a free meditation class on Wednesday nights at 7 p.m.! The class is held at Madison Family Chiropractors located at 1163 Eatonton Road in Madison! Rutledge is at it again y’all! OK so remember the fabulous and fantastic dinner concert they held last month in the Rutledge City Park? Well honey, it was so successful they are doin’ it again! Yes! Boooo! Mark your calendars! The Morgan County Primary School is hostin’ its annual Fall Festival on Friday Oct. 12 in Town Park! The event takes place after school and has all kinds of fun fall and spooky games and activities!
Congratulations are in order! The Madison Flea Market is flat celebratin’ its first anniversary in a big, big way! That’s right y’all! They’re havin’ a customer appreciation sale on Saturday, Sept. 22! Big, big deals! Oh. My. Gosh! If you bring your Madison Flea Market receipt from Sept. 22 to Amici’s Italian Café honey you’ll get a 16-inch pizza for the price of a 14-inch pizza! Now that’s a deal if there ever was one!
