Franklin Keith Jones

Franklin Keith Jones, 40, died suddenly on August 13, 2012. He was born August 20, 1971 in Clarke County to Franklin and Juanita Jones. He graduated from Morgan County High School in 1989 and then attended the University of Georgia. He graduated from UGA in 1996 with a professional degree in Pharmacy. During the next decade he worked as a pharmacist for both Kroger and Eckerd until his health no longer allowed him to continue. During his working years his commitment to patient care made him a favorite of many of the patrons. Mr. Jones married Janel Sauls Jones in 1995 and to this union two children were born Jillian Faith Jones and Franklin Theodore Jones.
To friends and family alike he was known by his middle name “Keith.” An honor student in school he had a variety of interests and loved to collect things. He was an avid sports fan and would faithfully follow his teams, the Atlanta Braves, the Atlanta Falcons and the UGA football team. He loved spending time with his wife and children as they watched his favorite teams in action. In addition to sports Keith enjoyed reading, being on Facebook and grilling out. He had a big heart and would be ready to help in any way he could.
Mr. Jones leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife Janel Jones of Monroe; his children, Jillian Faith Jones and Franklin Theodore Jones of Monroe; his mother Juanita Jones of Madison; in-laws, Billy and Linda Sauls of Bowie, MD; Kerman Sauls of Monore and Kevin and Claudia Sauls of Washington, D.C.; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on August 18 at Jackson Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Willie Enus officiating. Interment was at Madison Memorial Gardens. Flower bearers and pallbearers were family and friends.
Jones and Turner Funeral Home were in charge of arrangements.
