Momma wants to talk ‘bout tinklin’ wind chimes, hardware, spa tans, Pandora and sunflowers! Let’s stop dilly dallyin’ and let’s get to it y’all!
Chime in! Joy and Joe Houston, owners of Creative Mark located at 165 South Main Street in downtown Madison, wanted me let y’all know that they have changed their wind chime brand! Their previous brand shifted its production offshore and eventually ceased production. See what happens when you move jobs overseas? Well! The new brand is called Weatherland Windchimes and they are made right smack here in the USA! Plus they are individually hand-tuned to clear, classical notes and have a wide range of sizes! Y’all need to buy you a new wind chime to make your garden sing!
Stop the presses! Madison Mayor and owner of Madison Hardware Bruce Gilbert says y’all need to MARK YOUR CALENDARS ‘cause he’s fixin’ to start his closin’ SALE!
I’m talkin’ after 50 years of operation in Madison, Madison Hardware, located at 174 West Washington Street, is gonna host the SALE OF THE CENTURY! Check out the ad in this week’s paper y’all! Bruce says the prices are gonna be marked, LOW, LOWER and LOWEST ‘cause EVERYTHING MUST GO! Now I was just smack in there the other day and have spotted several items that I’m gonna slap pick up at a BARGAIN when the BIG SALE starts on June 28 at 8 a.m. SHARP! If you sleep in, honey, you’re gonna miss it! Oh and Bruce is gonna close the hardware store from Monday, June 25 ‘til Wednesday June 27 to get everything ready! I’ll see you there!
Don’t mope around like a pale vampire! Transform that pale white skin into a sun-kissed tan the healthy way! That’s right y’all! Pure Bliss Spa & Shop, located at 131 W. Jefferson Street in downtown Madison, now offers the safest, most healthy, organic airbrush tanning around! It’s organic Airbrush Tanning with Golden Sol and it’s done by experienced tanning expert Jeni Jarrard! OK so a 30-minute appointment is only $35 at Pure Bliss, but honey if you just can’t leave the house, Jeni will come to you for just a little bitty bit extra for $45! Wow! Right! So this organic tan lasts ‘bout seven to 10 days and the ingredients are 100 percent natural and organic! No yucky chemicals, formaldehye, parabens or alcohol! Plus it contains natural skin enhancing ingredients that firm and moisturize the skin! Sign me up honey! Call 706-342-2422 for your tan today or somebody’s gonna think you’re a ghost! Boo!
Theresa Bishop, owner of Belles, Beaux & Gifts located at 115 South Main Street in Madison, wanted me to let all y’all know that she’s been doin’ some rearrangin’ in the shop to make room for her fab, brand-spankin’ new display cases and lighting! It was just installed to showcase the Pandora line of bracelets and beautifully crafted charms, necklaces and rings! The new display cases are just stunnin’ and really show off that Pandora! Y’all get over there immediately!
Madison Realty has added a new agent! Todd Peaster of Georgia Civil now also works with Madison Realty specializing in commercial real estate! He brings more than a decade of land use planning and site design experience to help clients make informed sale, lease or acquisition decisions! He has been with Georgia Civil since 2006! Y’all give him a call at 706-818-1114 for your commercial real estate needs!
Honey nothin’ brightens up your day better than a SUNFLOWER! Yes! It’s almost time for the Sunflower Farm Festival! I’m so flat excited I can hardly stand it! OK! The Sunflower Farm Festival is slated for June 30 and July 1! This is a traditional favorite! The best bluegrass music you’ve ever heard, fantastic arts and crafts, great food and SUNFLOWER PICKIN’! It just don’t get any better than that! Plus y’all organizer Wes Holt wanted me to let y’all know that we gonna also make Georgia’s largest sunflower chain as a fundraiser for our very own special Georgia girl Aimee Copeland, a West Georgia College student who is recovering from a fight with a rare, flesh-eating virus. Y’all can read more ‘bout it in the article in this week’s newspaper! I’ll see all y’all at the Sunflower Farm Festival!
Oh but before I go I just gotta tell y’all I bought me a brand new, gently used ice cream maker at Madison Flea Market for $8 last Saturday to go along with the beautiful peaches I picked up at C.J. Orchards in Rutledge! Honey, peach ice cream ain’t never tasted so good! So y’all head over to C.J. Orchards and then you can head over to the Sunflower Farm to pick up some beautiful Sunflowers! OK here’s how to go: take I-20 west to exit 105 (Newborn Road). Turn left onto Newborn Road and take your first right onto Old Mill Road and you’ll see C.J. Orchards on the right! Then take a right back onto Newborn Road and follow the Sunflower Farm signs and bring some sunshiny sunflowers for your table!
Y’all have a beautiful weekend! Shop local for those last-minute graduation gifts, get some peaches and make some ice cream! Hey and don’t y’all just love the Citizen’s new Yesterdays column? I know Momma does! I’ll see all y’all next week: Same time. Same Number One Weekly Newspaper in the Great State of Georgia!
