Ruby Mae Standridge Head
Ruby Standridge Head, 88, of Rutledge died Saturday, June 16, 2012. Mrs. Head was born March 28, 1924 in Roswell to Jolly and Annie Walraven Standridge. She spent most of her life in the Atlanta area. She was married to Charles M. Head who preceded her in death. She was a patriot. During World War II she worked as a riveter in the Bell Aircraft Facility. She was instrumental in the production of the Bell B-29 bomber. Afterwards she worked for over 30 years for the Arrow Shirt Company, where she was a quality control examiner. Mr. and Mrs. Head retired to Morgan County in 1992. After retiring Mrs. Head enjoyed working on their property and spending time with their dogs.
Mrs. Head is survived by one sister Martha Iannone and several nieces and nephews.
The family received friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday, June 18. The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. in the chapel of A. E. Carter Funeral Home. Interment followed at the Rutledge City Cemetery.
