Smokin’ corn pipes! Momma’s walkin’ all round town with a bangin’ Banjo! I mean she’s wearin’ Frye boots from Barkin’ Dogs Shoe Co., fancy designer sunglasses from Advanced Family Eyecare of Madison and she’s smokin’ a crazy corn pipe! MERCY! Call the therapist ‘cause Momma’s got them Delusions of Grandeur! Like she thinks she’s a bona fied Bluegrass Star! I’m talkin’ the jewels are polished but the queen ain’t been crowned! She must be puffin’ wacky tobaccy in that corn pipe ‘cause she says she’s gonna start a brand spankin’ new bluegrass band called the White Lightnin’ Liars! And, she says they’re gonna debut Saturday with a performance at the Madison Flea Market!
That’s right y’all! The Madison Flea Market, located at 1291 Eatonton Road in Madison, is rockin’ on Saturdays with live bluegrass performances. I even heard tell that Madisonian Mover and Shaker Jim Winkler and his band made an appearance at the Flea Market! Hey and y’all remember Jon Tonge of long, lost Dog Ear Books lore? Well Jon just opened a book booth in the flea market! Yay! Y’all go check out all the cool stuff at the Flea Market and pop in on a Saturday for some toe-tappin’ bluegrass! See you there!

Slap me in the forehead and knock me to Sunday and back! Honey Karen Strelecki of the Madison Artists Guild wanted me to tell all y’all ‘bout the EastART Egg Auction & Reception that includes a grown-up Easter egg hunt on the lawn and it all happens March 24 at 4 p.m. at The Brady Inn, located at 250 North Second Street in downtown Madison, behind Madison Drug! So anywho, Karen says that 15 of the guild’s finest artists have created gorgeous handmade and painted eggs that will flat be auctioned off with the proceeds going to the Madison Artists Guild and The Caring Place! Love it! OK but the fun part starts with the adult Easter egg hunt! Like these eggs are gonna be filled with fab prizes like coupons and merchandise giveaways from our local businesses! One of the eggs even has a piece of silver jewelry from our very own fantastic Whidby Jewelers! Hold the phone y’all! That egg is flat mine! I say MINE! Eddy has been cookin’ up a storm at the Madison ChopHouse Grille locate at 202 South Main Street in Madison! This week he’s created a delicious Veggie Strudel with squash, zucchini, carrots and red onion. ChopHouse manager Faye Craft says it’s DELISH and it’s healthy! Get it and make your tummy SING!
