Ding Ding Ding Ding! SOUND THE ALARM! Holy Heart Palpitations! It’s outlandish!
Momma’s done joined the Cult of Hare Krishna! I flat saw her on the corner at the bypass! She’s shaved her head bald and is flouncin’ ‘round like a fish outta water in a flowin’ orange hippie saffron robe! Ding dang! She’s even bangin’ finger cymbals to the beat of George Harrison’s "My Sweet Lord!" This calls for a super scheme if there ever was one! Come on y’all! Get in Pawpaw’s pick-up and let’s kidnap Momma back! Good Lord Have Mercy! Slow down there she is! Slow . . . slow . . . down . . . STOP! “Excuse me Miss Hare Krishna . . . would you like some candy?” She took the bait! Here she comes . . . grab her robe! We got her! Now all need is a bonafied cult deprogrammin’ plan and honey that calls for a splash of White Lightnin’, my handsome husband’s credit card and a quick afternoon of SHOPPIN’ LOCAL!
Wow! That flat worked like a CHARM! All it took was a fast trip to Amelia’s, a pop over to Laughin’ Moon for some fab bling, a quick bite of Eddie’s chicken salad at the Madison ChopHouse Grille and a stop at Just Out of the Kloset consignments! Ding dang dong! We even popped over to Antique Sweets for a Bulldog Bite and went down to Artisan Alley for some magic turquoise jewelry and Momma did need a little bitty diamond bling from Whidby Jewelry! Oh and then we took a quick trip over to Rutledge to visit LilyBeth’s and to pick up a vanilla root beer float at The Caboose! Now Momma’s flat too pooped to party! Shhhhhhhhh! She’s snorin’ up a storm so we’ll have to whisper the rest of this here column!
