Lord have mercy y’all! Equine Consign is the newest shop in town and it’s located at 121 West Jefferson St., in downtown Madison! Shirley and Frank Fargason trotted over here from way up yonder in Pickens County, Ga., and flat opened their new shop Saturday! Of course yours truly had her shoppin’ shoes on and popped over there immediately! OK y’all, so here’s the deal: This cool shop has gently used, high-quality saddles, bridles, apparel, helmets, gloves, outerwear, boots, leathers, irons, show clothing, arts, gifts, you name it! Oh and they also offer on-site services like tack repair, saddle fitting and did I mention reflockin’! Ding dang y’all! I didn’t even know what reflockin’ meant 'til Frank told me all ‘bout it! Of note: Shirley is a Master Saddlers Association saddle fitter! It just don’t get no better than that! So if you need equestrian goods and services y’all shop local first! Oh and if you have gently used equine gear or apparel, bring it on over but make sure it’s clean and on a hanger! If you have any questions just call the shop at (706) 343-1555! Giddy up!
Madison Tea Room & Garden owner Kathi Russell is puttin’ the final touches on her fab new business which is slated to open late November, just in time for the Holiday Tour of Homes! I just had to pop over there to check it out and it’s magnificent! Kathi has flat outdone herself and y’all are gonna flip when you see it! She just can’t wait “to serve that first cup of tea to my friends in Madison with good conversation and plans for the future!” We can’t wait either, Kathi!
Hem it up y’all! Sandy Reynolds, who had the shop that the tornado flat blew away, is now in a new location at The Madison Flea Market, located at 1291 Eatonton Road in Madison! OK so Sandy has set up her alterations and apparel consignment in a great space here! Go get your alterations done and check out the new space!
Le Petit Jardin is opening a second shop in Athens! That’s right y’all! Y’all head over there and check it out! Wow!

Right! So the event is slated for Thursday, Oct. 27, at Town 220 restaurant in downtown Madison from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m., plus a talk with author Hugh beginning at 5 p.m.! Don’t miss it y’all! OK so owner Theresa Bishop says this is gonna be a fun, three-day shoppin’ celebration to kick off the holiday shoppin’ season! OK so if you don’t know, Vietri is a fabulous, Italian pottery line and Belles, Beaux & Gifts is featurin’ its Old St. Nick line – the star of which is the limited edition Old St. Nick platters that are signed and numbered by the artisan! Oh, and with a purchase of $100 or more of Vietri, customers will get a special Vietri hand-painted Old St. Nick ornament! Plus Theresa’s gonna be holdin’ raffles each day for special prizes and she’ll have snacks and beverages each afternoon from 3 p.m. until closing! Ding dang! I’ll see y’all there!
