Mr. and Mrs. Hansell Norwood York, III, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Jackson, Miss., announce the engagement of their daughter, Mary Frances, to  Cameron Norton Woodward, son of Mr. and Mrs. Heyward Lamar Woodward, Jr., of Buckhead. Miss York is the granddaughter of Hansell Norwood York, Jr., and the late Mr. York of Baytown, Texas, and the late Rev. Dr. Myers B. Curtis, of Houston, Texas, and the late Jane Nelms Lansford, of Georgetown, Texas. Mr. Woodward is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. James T. Williams of Greensboro and Alva Arthur Norton, Jr., and the late Mr. Norton, of Buckhead, and the late Heyward Lamar Woodward.
Miss York is a graduate of Jackson Academy and of the University of Mississippi where she received a Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences. While at Ole Miss, she was a Varsity Cheerleader and a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. She is currently a Sales Manager at The Westin Peachtree Plaza in Atlanta.
Mr. Woodward is a graduate of Morgan County High School, Madison. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Georgia, and received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Alabama School of Law. He is currently a partner with the law firm of Cossio, Lebowski and Woodward.
The wedding will take place August 27, 2011 at The Farm at Old Edwards Inn in Highlands, N.C.
