Grand Jury hands down criminal indictments

Staff Reports

    Several individuals were indicted on various criminal charges last week during a Morgan County Grand Jury. The following individuals were indicted:
    • Yauncey Lorenzo Carter, 33, Snellville, one count trafficking in cocaine, one count possession of marijuana.
    • Gary Bernard Walker, 35, Madison, one count possession with intent to distribute cocaine, one count possession of marijuana, one count driving while license suspended.
    • Desmond D. Harris, 21, one count terroristic threats and acts, one count criminal trespass, one count simple battery, two counts cruelty to children in the third degree.
    • Lashonda Worrell, 26, Madison, one count criminal damage in the second degree.
    • Bradley T. Benkoski, 18, Buckhead, one count burglary.
    • Danny Glosson, Jr.,29, Madison, one count aggravated assault, five counts cruelty to children in the third degree, one count carrying a weapon in an unauthorized location.
    • Christopher A. Williams, 20, Buckhead, one count possession with intent to distribute marijuana, one count possession of a firearm by a first offender probationer, one count possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
    • Daanntron Kapedro Ammons, 31, Hillsboro,  one count theft by taking, one count possession with the intent to distribute marijuana.
    • Jena R. Day, 18, Madison, one count theft by taking, one count possession with the intent to distribute marijuana.
    • Micha Byrd, 29, Covington, two counts theft by receiving stolen property, one count theft by taking.
    • Joseph Edwards, Jr., 30, Covington, two counts theft by receiving stolen property, one count theft by taking.
    • Tony Lorenzo Elder, 43, Covington, two counts theft by receiving stolen property, one count theft by taking.
    • Chris Hooten, 36, Covington, two counts theft by receiving stolen property, one count theft by taking.
    • Jerald Lowe, 31, Rutledge, two counts theft by receiving stolen property, one count theft by taking. In a different indictment Lowe was also indicted on one count theft by taking, one count criminal damage to property in the second degree, one count criminal trespass.
    • Johnny Atwater, 56, Madison, one count aggravated assault.
    • Rockie Cooper, 32, Madison, one count burglary, two counts aggravated stalking.
    • Alexis Jessica Hargro, 32, Madison, one count theft by shoplifting.
    • Brandon Eugene Watkins, 18, one count invasion of privacy.
    • Gary M. Robbins, Jr., 28, Madison, one count possession of Dihydrocodeinnone, one count possession of Diazepam, one count drug container violation.
    • Courtney B. Williams, no age given, Madison, one count aggravated assault, one count aggravated stalking.
    • Dora Marie Hendrix, no age given, Rutledge, two counts theft by taking.
    • Chase Graham Jennings, 22, Cummings, one count possession of Heroin, four counts driving under the influence, one count failure to maintain lane.
    • Travis Karedem Yon, 31, Orangeburg, S.C., one count influencing a witness, three counts intimidation of a court officer.
    • Lashonda Nicole Williams, 22, Madison, two counts cruelty to children in the first degree.
    • Stephen Gregory Chick, 30, Athens, one count possession of marijuana.
    • Brian Scott Wilkerson, 19, Martin, one count possession of marijuana.
    • James E. Mullinax, 61, Covington, one count possession of tools for the commission of a crime, one count theft by taking, one count criminal trespass.
    • Troy E. Mullinax, 40, Loganville, one count possession of tools for the commission of a crime, one count theft by taking, one count criminal trespass.
    • Casey Justin Gresham, 19, Eatonton, one count tampering with evidence.
    • Twanna T. Clay, 22, Madison, two counts theft by extortion, one count criminal attempt to commit theft by extortion.
    • Justin Davis, 20, Madison, one count false imprisonment, one count criminal damage to property in the second degree, one count battery and one count obstructing person making an emergency telephone call.
    • Horace Martin Guinn, Jr., no age given, Madison, six counts aggravated sexual battery, four counts child molestation, six counts sexual exploitation of children, four counts invasion of privacy and one count possession of methamphetamine.
