Let’s open with my fave 80s tune from The Vapors! Hit it! I’m turning Japanese. I think I’m turning Japanese. I really think so. I’m turning Japanese. I think I’m turning Japanese. I really think so. So. So. So!” Yeah! That’s the best song EVER! And it’s the perf one to kick off the Biz Buzz ‘cause we’re all gonna be eatin’ Japanese cuisine with fancy chop sticks! Chop-chop!  That’s right y’all! Get your Japanese on! I’m talkin’ dinin’ on fabulishous Sushi and sippin’  Sake!  Momma’s flat gonna love this! You got it right! A new restaurant’s fixin’ to open up in Madison on Main Street in the old Maggie’s location at 133 South  Main! Ok! Here’s the deal!  Eenoco Japanese Steak & Sushi located on Lake Oconee is openin’ up a location in Madison! Right! So I got the intel flat before the ink was dry on the lease thanks to my super, secret anonymous source who shall remain nameless! Ding dang! Anyhow, Eenoco owner Heath Burton confirmed the news and says they’ll be opening’ up in June with “essentially the same menu.” I love it! For all y’all that don’t know, Eenoco is one of Lake Oconee’s most popular restaurants! It opened up four years ago and it’s been a hit ever since! Basically, this new hot spot will feature a fantastic sushi bar with fresh fish and other ingredients! And, don’t forget beer, wine and Sake! Y’all check out their website at www.eenoco.com!     Who’s that? Ding dang! It’s JK Linens and they’re flat getting’ ready to open up in Madison at 183 West Jefferson Street between Whidby Jewelers and Ella’s Sweet Shop, which is the perf  location . . . I mean fine jewelery, fine linens and fine chocolate all together! What could be better than that? Nothin’! Ok so anyhow, JK Linens owner and his team were all over there this week meansurin’ and movin’ stuff in! It’s gonna be fantastic! I’m talkin’ 1,200-count sheets at affordable prices that will flat blow you away! But that ain’t all y’all! Owner Chris Pegram says they’re gonna have all types of beddin’ products like quilts, comforters, pillows, throw blankets and more! They’re also gonna sell everything for the perfect bath like hand soaps, bath salts, shower curtains and more! Did I mention the bedding and bath products for kids? Well I just did! Anyhow, JK Linens is slated to open in June! Y’all keep watchin’ this column for updates!
    Don’t you dare forget! Next weekend is MadisonFest-EquiFest! It’s going to be FANTASTIC! Here’s the deal: Saturday, April 30 from 10 a.m. til 4 p.m.! Two fabulous events at once! MadisonFest is takin’ place at Town Park and will have all sorts of cool, cool, cool vendors exhibiting . . . like the green energy exhibit, all sorts of garden and plant exhibitors and special speakers! EquiFest will be held at the Ag Center with all sorts of ridin’ exhibits to showcase Morgan County’s diverse horse community!         Honey, we’ll have performers, the kid’s corner and experts on equine health and care! It’s gonna be Fantastic! Plus a shuttle will carry folks to and from both venues! Get it on your calendar!
    Oh and don’t forget the Farm City Tour next Friday, April 29! There are limited spaces available so call the Chamber at once I say to reserve your spot (706-342-4454)! This is one of my most favorite events every year so I’ll see all y’all there!
