Haircut fundraiser for Morgan County firefighter
To the Editor:
In March Morgan County Firefighter Kevin Stephenson was paralyzed in an accident while responding to a structure fire. We would like to thank the outpouring of community and firefighter support of Kevin, his wife and 20-month-old daughter. Our firefighters have shown the true meaning of brotherhood within the fire department, and our community has shown such great support for their volunteer firefighter. This support has been greatly appreciated.
Charlene Conn, daughter of Buckhead Firefighter Jim Dale, just opened a Great Clips hair salon in Covington and wanted to do something for Kevin. Great Clips is located in the Covington Centre, across from Walmart, next to Verizon (I-20 at exit 93). July 16 to July 26 this Great Clips will contribute $5 for each full-price haircut purchased to the Kevin Stephenson Fire Fighter Assistance Fund.
Cuts cost $12 for adults and $10 for seniors and kids 10 and under.
Just present a voucher (vouchers may be obtained from Morgan County Fire Fighters, Station 10 Mission Road, Amelia’s or at the salon—ask for a Cut for Kevin voucher), and they will donate $5 from each haircut.
To encourage your support, you will receive a $5-off coupon for your next haircut at Great Clips – Covington Centre!
Please help us out and support one of Morgan County’s Firefighters by getting a Cut for Kevin between July 16 and July 26 at Great Clips – Covington Centre. Thanks again to the Madison/Morgan County citizens and Fire Department.
