Wedding Bells and Celebrity tales! Honey! Momma went all Navy Seal on me and snuck into the Ritz Carlton Reynolds Plantation last weekend for Carrie Underwood’s uber famous wedding to the handsomest hockey player Mike Fisher! I flat couldn’t believe Momma could stuff herself and her cocktail dress and heels inside that scuba-diving outfit but the scheme worked like a charm! It was her finest hour! Anyhow y’all . . .             Momma was flat hobnobbin’ with cutie pie Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, that handsome-but-sometimes-ugly Simon Cowell and crazy, fun Paula Abdul and more! Oh my Gosh! Even our neighbor Carey Williams, editor and publisher of the best newspaper in Greensboro, The Greensboro Herald Journal, got even MORE famous ‘cause he was quoted in a story on E! News! I ain’t kiddin’ y’all!

But the BEST NEWS EVER is that every one of them fabulously famous celebrities stayin’ at the Ritzy Wedding were reading Lake Oconee Living magazine, the only local magazine placed in each and every room at the Ritz Carlton Reynolds Plantation! Love it! Aren’t you glad you advertised! Well if you didn’t get in the just-published summer issue, don’t worry! We’ll flat reserve you a great ole big ad for the Holiday issue!

This is the best place to promote your Christmas gift items, restaurant and holiday party places and honey even wedding destinations! I do! Y’all call Lake Oconee Living magazine today to reserve your ad at 706-342-7440! It’s located in the exact same office as this award-winning Morgan County Citizen newspaper at 235 South Main Street! How convenient! You can just pop in to buy both your newspaper and magazine ads! LOVE IT!

Claudia’s European Coffee Shop located at 142 Academy Street in Madison right next to the entrance to Madison Markets is fixin’ to open in like two weeks for breakfast and lunch y’all! Ok so here’s the story: German natives Claudia and Juergen Metzler just recently moved here from Germany and honey Claudia’s passion is wine and coffee and she used to operate an Italian Coffee shop in Germany so honey we’re gonna get a treat when she opens!

I just checked out the menu on their website www.claudiaseurocoffee.com and it made me so ding dang hungry! Now if it’s one thing I know for sure, it’s that every last Morgan County citizen flat LOVES FOOD and Claudia’s is poised to become a fave! For breakfast honey they’re gonna take us to the Old Country and fast! I’m talkin’ menu items like The German (two German rolls, jam, butter and a cold cut)! Or The Italian Signore (Ciabatta, Prosciutto di Parma, salami, provolone cheese and butter)!

Anyway they have The English, The French and more! They also have Greek yogurt, oatmeal, fruit, eggs and bacon! Ok for lunch they have fab entrees like Soups, Paninis, Antipasti, Bratwurst and Schnitzel for meat lovers, salads and French quiches! Keep your eyes peeled for more on this fab story and check out their website!
Have a seat outside! Honey I know y’all all know that Le Petit Jardin had to move from its place at Madison Markets! The heat was just too dang much on those beautiful plants! But more on that later! Honey y’all are gonna flip when you see what’s going on in that cool space now! Ok so Donna Hiter of Greensboro already has a booth at Madison Markets and so she decided to take the bull by the horns and gather up a heap of outdoor furniture in the space right next to the entrance of Madison Markets and the soon-to-open Claudia’s European Coffee Shop! Right! Donna and her husband went bangin’ on doors all over Greene and Morgan Counties lookin’ for retro, fab outdoor furniture and Donna became flat obsessed! Honey they found all kinds of bona fied Bunting Gliders make in the 1950s, Strap back Gliders, Shell Back chars and more! They refurbished them and painted them precious colors! YOU NEED THIS OUTDOOR FURNITURE immediately! Check it out!

Ok! That’s it for the buzz on biz this week! Y’all don’t forget to plan to get the best bang for the buck with your advertisin’ dollars this upcomin’ holiday season! Here are the places to be: Lake Oconee Living magazine’s Holiday Issue and the upcoming Morgan County Citizen special supplements for the Madison Fall Kitchen Tour sponsored by the Madison-Morgan Chamber of Commerce and the 2010 Heritage Holiday Tour of Homes sponsored by Friends of Heritage Hall!
