Come on Momma! Let’s go see Theresa Bishop at Antiques on the Square located at 115 South Main St., in downtown Madison ‘cause I need me somethin’ eye-poppin’ for my mantelpiece! Gosh almighty! This place sure does have lots of fine antiques! Now where’d Momma go? What the? There she is in the way back of the shop! Momma! What in the Sam Hill are you doin’ polishin’ that fancy dance golden-pitcher-genie-lamp lookin’ thingy? Watch out! Green smoke is just a billowin’ outta that thing makin’ a big fat mess! If Theresa sees this she’s gonna knock us for a loop-T-loop! Yikes! A scary lookin’ magic genie just materialized outta flat nowhere and said we get three wishes! Hells bells, Momma! It could be a trick so be real careful what ya wish for . . . ‘cause you just might get it! Ding Dang Momma! You did right good with those wishes! Let’s see . . . A wish for a secret, fully stocked Morgan County fishin’ hole, a wish for a mess of hot wings and a gallon of sweet tea from the Wing Shack in Rutledge and a wish for two brand new fishin’ poles! It just don’t get no better than this y’all . . . unless of course you’re one of the most profitable banks in Georgia with loads ‘O dough!
I’m talkin’ ‘bout United Bank! A recent Atlanta Journal-Constitution article reported that United Bank, which has a location in Madison, was the state’s most profitable bank with $3.3 million in profits! Congrats United Bank! Hey! Now that y’all got all that profitable cash, I flat know you’re gonna loan me some money so I can remodel my kitchen, refinish my hardwood floors and get me a new sofa and new chairs from Harris Furniture! YEEHAW!

They’ve got a new CD named Life is Sound, but the best part is that this band has a super local connection to Madison! Band member Michael Meadows is the son of our very own local Morgan County Middle School art teacher and track coach Marjean Meadows! Honey lets have us a bona fide blast next Thrusday!
