Thanks for ‘Seaworthy’ event

To the Editor:
The Steffen Thomas Museum of Art thanks all our many friends and supporters for making our 2009 annual spring gala - Caribbean Cruise: Sail into Summer – a resounding success.             What a fun evening Saturday, May 30th was!
The museum’s gallery was decked out as the main dining room of a cruise ship where guests enjoyed delicious island cuisine while listening to live music provided by RhythmTrail and their steel drums.
A silent auction included handcrafted items, jewelry, local services and works of art.
Ginger Beverly won this year’s raffle prize: a beautiful 14-karat white gold diamond ring donated by Whidby Jewelers. You go, girl! We hope everyone had as much fun as we did! We’re so glad you came.
We also offer our sincere thanks to the following sponsors who made this event possible: David Crawford, CPA; DreamTeam Technologies; Georgia Power – A Southern Company; HouseSmart; Jim Boyd and Associates; Morgan County Citizen; Madison Studios; Nu-Art Printers; Vanishing Rural Georgia Art, and Whidby Jewelers.
Best of all, the event earned approximately $7,000 for our “Georgia Master” visual arts museum and our award-winning Arts Outreach Program serving Morgan, Greene and Putnam counties.
Thanks to you all.
Marguerite Copelan,
President STMA Board of Directors
