Cora Jane Jarrell, 76, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at Green Point Nursing Home in Union Point, following a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Jane was born on October 23, 1941 to Samuel Glynn Masters and Ila Middlebrooks Masters in Ellenwood, Georgia, where she graduated from South DeKalb High School, and was a life-long member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.
She married Charles B. Jarrell, Sr. in 1962. Her greatest joy was her children, and her life was centered upon her family, her home, and her Lord. Her sweet spirit will be greatly missed, but there is rejoicing that she has found ultimate healing in Heaven.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. She leaves to cherish her memory her sons and daughters-in- law, Chuck and Holly Jarrell and Craig and Rebekah Jarrell, all of Madison; her brother, Sam (Jean) Masters of Buckhead; her sister, Joy Roberts of McCormick, South Carolina; her sister-in- law, Elizabeth (Alfred) Brown; three grandchildren,
Olivia, Ben, and Denver Jarrell; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Visitation was held on Thursday, December 21, from 6–8 p.m.and a
A service to celebrate her life was held on Friday, December 22 at 3 p.m. with Reverend Jim Hearn officiating. Both were held at A.E Carter Funeral Home in Madison. Interment was in Madison City Cemetery.
